Dear Distinguished Colleagues, Partners, and Participants,
On behalf of the School of Nursing, Mae Fah Luang University, and our valued co-hosts and partner organisations, it is my great honour and privilege to welcome you to the International Academic Conference on "Global Health for Equity: Bridging Divides Through Innovation, Data, and Human Care," to be held 27–29 January 2027 at Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand — nestled in one of the most breathtaking settings in all of Southeast Asia.
This conference was not built by one institution alone. It is the result of a shared commitment — across universities, professional associations, and health networks — to a vision we hold in common: advancing global health through excellence in nursing education, collaborative research, innovative practice, and the intelligent use of technology. That our co-hosts and partners have chosen to stand with us in this mission is something we do not take lightly. It is, in itself, a powerful statement about what the nursing profession can achieve when we move forward together.
At a time when healthcare systems worldwide face deepening inequities, rapid digital transformation, and growing demands on the nursing profession, this conference is both timely and necessary. Guided by three foundational pillars — Innovation, Data, and Human Care — our programme has been designed to spark meaningful dialogue, challenge assumptions, and inspire action across borders and disciplines.
Over three dynamic days, we will explore how nurses and health professionals can move from being users of technology to becoming its architects; how data can be governed ethically and used inclusively to close the rural-urban divide; and how we can protect the humanity and well-being of the caregivers who stand at the heart of every health system.
This conference brings together 200–300 researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners from Thailand and around the world. Together, we will advocate for stronger nursing leadership, work to bridge the digital gap, and foster the international synergy our profession urgently needs. We look forward to producing a Policy Recommendation Report on Digital Equity in Nursing and establishing an International Research Network devoted to nursing innovation in low-resource settings — outcomes that will carry the fingerprints of every organisation that helped make this gathering possible.
To our co-hosts and partner organisations: your expertise, networks, and generous support are woven into every aspect of this conference. You have helped shape its direction, broaden its reach, and deepen its meaning. We are profoundly grateful, and we hope this is only the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration.
Mae Fah Luang University — known as one of Thailand's most beautiful campuses — is proud to serve as the home for these conversations. We hope that the warmth of Chiang Rai and the spirit of our community will make your experience here as memorable as it is meaningful.
We look forward to welcoming you in January 2027.
With warm regards,
Assistant Professor Dr. Chompunut Sopajaree Dean, School of Nursing Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand
